About us
Bridge Basics explains the money rules that reach ordinary UK households: pensions, tax, the home and the routine checks that keep payments safe.
What we publish
Each article takes one rule or process and explains how it works, with a worked example and links to the official pages behind it. The four sections are Pensions, Tax, Home and Money safety.
How articles are checked
Figures come from official sources such as GOV.UK, HMRC, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Financial Conduct Authority, Ofgem and the Civil Aviation Authority. Each article lists its sources and the date the figures were checked. Where a change has been announced but is not yet law, we say so. Worked examples use invented figures and are labelled as illustrations.
Articles are written and checked by the Bridge Basics editorial team. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact page.
